The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed a Resolution "On Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the First Antemortem Diagnostics of Acute Myocardial Infarction"

Pursuant to the Resolution, in September 2009, the 100^th anniversary of the internationally recognized first antemortem diagnostics of acute myocardial infarction by clinical physicians V.P.Obraztsov and M.D.Strazhesko is celebrated.

Due to the wide-spreadness and high rate of death of myocardial infarction in Ukraine, the Resolution suggests that V.Yushchenko, President of Ukraine, proclaim 2009 "A Year of Struggle with Myocardial Infarction in Ukraine".

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine should propose events related to the celebration of the 100^th anniversary of the first antemortem diagnostics of acute myocardial infarction in Ukraine.

A relevant Bill was registered at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by Reg. No.3561.
